The Millbury Girls Varsity Volleyball team is off to a strong start (3-4). With seven games already played by the end of September. They earned an exciting 3-1 home victory over Whitinsville Christian, typically one of the toughest teams on their schedule. The game was filled with energy, intensity and aggressive plays from the Lady Woolies, according to the Seniors. Senior captain, Lyla Alves described the game as one of the most energetic games this season, with hard work from the entire team. Not to mention, this is the first time Millbury has beaten Whitinsville Christian in the past three years. The Lady Woolies are off to an extremely strong start and look to carry that momentum throughout the rest of their season.
