Millbury Woolies with back to back wins, taking both of their season opening games home! The first game, against The Leicester Wolverines was a major hard fought comeback late in the 4th quarter. With their hardened defense around the 40 yard line MHS sealed the win that night with a score of 41-36 after Carter Richards sack. The second of the season was against Maynard. Taking it slow and steady, the Woolies perseverance carried them to a 20–14 victory handing the Tigers their second straight loss. The players have fought hard and well for these two wins and I believe with how this season is going so far that the Woolies will make it far in the league this year. Senior skill position players Ben Raffa, Cole Guilford and Joey McNamara have been driving hard for the extra yards every play. Joey McNamara is leading the tem in total touchdowns and receiving touchdowns whle Cole Guilford is leading in rushing yards per game and rushing touchdowns. Ben Raffa had one of the biggest plays of the season a 60+ yard TD reception in the final minutes of the first game. These key players have been putting in the work and getting it paid off with their massive impact on the team this year. Go Woolies.
